The only birds we saw in an hour's walk were three linnets and some Wood Pigeons - but we heard Yellowhammer. News that there were White Admiral Butterflies in the railway line area urged us on. A few newly hatched Painted Ladies but most butterflies were the constantly moving Gatekeepers. We also identified both Red-tailed and White-tailed Bumblebees and I photographed an unidentified (as yet), cricket, which briefly leapt into the fram
