Tuesday April 7
Due to problems with incomplete bathrooms etc, a phone call from Bridget last night curtailed the planned day out to half a day, meeting at Cley Centre. We lunched and then, A and B having seen their first Swallow, walked to Daukes.
The highlight here was a flock of 200 Golden Plovers, many well on their way to gaining their summer bibs. Maybe non breeders? It was lovely to sit and watch the Avocets, Black-tailed Godwits and usual ducks in splendid plumage.
A drive to Beach Road car park saw a steady trickle of Swallows speeding through, we must have seen 12 in 15 minutes. Three Common Wheatears flew the length of the Eye Field before disappearing.
Home by 5.30 to await Dale and a new screen for my PC - the old one died yesterday - it was 11 years old.
