After swimming.......

Barton Broad is not far from Neatishead, where we swim at the Iken Barn, it seemed like a good idea to check it out. A Blackcap sang near the car park, Willow Warblers, Cetti's and Chiffchaffs sang all along the boardwalk to the viewing platform. It was still rather misty at 9.15 and cold on the exposed platform. Several Common Terns were fishing, GCGs displaying, a few Little Gulls and, high above the Broad, a small cloud of both Sand and House Martins and Swallows. Sand Martin a catch up for me and House new for both of us. At least one Tern was an Arctic, that bounding flight and humpbacked appearance, long streamers and, pale trailing edges to the wings.
