August 24
One week after returning from a birding trip to SE Peru with Campylobacter (intestinal infection), I felt well enough to do some Norfolk birding. Not a propitious day weather-wise, very gusty wind with occasional showers. And...Titchwell east bank still closed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day out but hardly cleared 70 bird species.
Highlights were two Sparrowhawk sightings, flying along the road in front of us, and, both Grey and Red-legged Partridge families. Bigest surprise was an adult Arctic Tern flying over us at Brancaster Staithe.
I'll post a link to my Peru Blog when it's complete, a trip report rather than a birding report.
